Morgan Heritage is comprised of vocalist/keyboard player Una Morgan, vocalist Peter Morgan, keyboard player/vocalist Roy "Gramps" Morgan, rhythm guitarist "Lukes" Morgan and percussionist "Mr. Mojo" Morgan. These children of roots reggae icon Denroy Morgan draw on new wave, punk, hip-hop, dancehall, R&B, but manage to ground all of their musical explorations in the sound that's in their blood: roots reggae. It's the sound of Jamaican dancehall systems and New York hip-hop boom boxes. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Springfield Massachusetts, they were brought up with intensive vocal and instrument training and exposed to a wide variety of musical influences. Since forming in 1990, the band has scored with many hit singles and released 15 albums. Initially an octet featuring eight of Morgan's 29 children, Morgan Heritage began recording with their father in the early '90s. Their debut single, "Wonderful World," was produced by their father and released in 1991. A much-talked about performance at Jamaica's Reggae Sunsplash festival in 1992 led to the band's first recording contract with MCA and their major label debut „Miracles” was released in 1994. Shortly after releasing their second album, „Protect Us Jah” (1997), Morgan Heritage were reduced to a five-piece group. „Don't Haffi Dread” (1999) and „More Teachings” (2001) continued to carry the roots reggae torch while „Three in One” (2003) broadened their sound a bit with a guest appearance from the punk band Good Charlotte. „Full Circle” from 2005 featured the massive Jamaican hit "Tell Me How Come" and was followed a year later by the live album „Live: Another Rockaz Moment”. Their latest album, “Mission in Progress” was released in 2008 and included singles "Faithful" and "Raid Rootz Dance". They have also released two successful DVDs, "Live in London" and "Live over Europe 2003".
The band have worked with many of the top reggae bands and DJs of today including Capleton, Junior Kelly, Luciano, Gentleman and Beres Hammond.
Morgan Heritage is currently at work on their yet untitled album. Meanwhile, the group members are also focusing on their respective, independently released solo projects. Peetah Morgan and Gramps Morgan were also touring together.
We are happy to see them first time in Poland, playing Ostróda Reggae Festival on 11th August – Polish celebrations day of 50th Jamaica independence.

Dzieci ikony reggae Denroy’a Morgana zbliżają się do new wave, punka, hip-hopu, dancehallu czy R&B, ale wszystkie ich muzyczne poszukiwania osadzone są w brzmieniu, które mają we krwi – roots reggae.
To nuty płynące z jamajskich dancehallowych sound systemów oraz nowojorskich hip-hopowych boom-boxów.
Urodzeni na Brooklynie i dorastający w Springfield w Massachusetts, zostali wychowani w bardzo muzycznym duchu i byli eksponowani na wiele różnych muzycznych wpływów. Od założenia w 1990 roku zespół wydał wiele przebojowych singli oraz 15 albumów. Początkowo jako oktet złożony z ośmiu z dwudziestu dziewięciu dzieci Morgana, zaczęli nagrywać z ojcem na początku lat 90-tych. Debiutancki singiel "Wonderful World" został wyprodukowany przez Denroy’a i ujrzał światło dzienne w 1999 roku. Bardzo dobrze przyjęty koncert podczas  Reggae Sunsplash Festival na Jamajce w 1992 roku doprowadził do podpisania ich pierwszego kontraktu z MCA i zaowocował  wydaniem debiutanckiego albumu „Miracles” (1994). Krótko po wydaniu kolejnego albumu „Protect Us Jah” (1997) Morgan Heritage zredukowali skład do pięciu osób. Albumy „Don't Haffi Dread” (1999) oraz „More Teachings” (2001) to kontynuacja roots reggae, podczas gdy „Three in One” (2003) poszerzył ich brzmienie o efekt współpracy z punkową grupą Good Charlotte. Na „Full Circle” (2005) usłyszycie jamajski przebój  "Tell Me How Come". Rok później ukazał się koncertowy album „Live: Another Rockaz Moment”. Ich ostatnia produkcja to “Mission in Progress” (2008) z singlami "Faithful" i "Raid Rootz Dance". Próbą podsumowania dotychczasowej działalności jest kompilacja „The Journey Thus Far”. Morgan Heritage mają na swym koncie również dwa DVD: "Live in London" oraz "Live over Europe 2003".
Grupa współpracowała z wieloma czołowymi współczesnymi artystami i DJ’ami jak m.in. Capleton, Junior Kelly, Luciano, Gentleman czy Beres Hammond.
Morgan Heritage obecnie pracują nad nowym albumem. W międzyczasie członkowie zespołu skupiają się również na własnych solowych projektach. Gramps Morgan wkrótce wydaje swój kolejny solowy album „Life Too Short”.
Peetah i Gramps również razem koncertowali, odwiedzając m.in. Przystanek Woodstock w 2010 roku.
Jesteśmy dumni z pierwszej polskiej wizyty tej niezwykłej muzycznej rodziny, która da pokaz swojego wyjątkowego talentu podczas Ostróda Reggae Festival 11.08, w dniu polskich obchodów 50 rocznicy uzyskania przez Jamajkę niepodległości.
