Unprecedented before case of winning the Ostróda’s contest by a non-reggae band confirms their high level, originality and versatility. Dubstep, dub and drum'n'bass played live attract fans in every open-minded environment. They are back in the role of last year's winners.
Bubble Chamber were formed in Gdynia in 2011, by joined forces of Michal Gorecki, bassist previously associated with prog-metal scene, Jacek Proscinski - jazz drummer, a student at the Academy of Music in Gdansk and Jakub Cioslowski, DJ and producer, currently living in Copenhagen.
In 2012, the band released their first mini-album "Live @ S.F.I.N.K.S. 700", a live concert recording from the legendary club S.F.I.N.K.S. 700 in Sopot. The album took the music community by surprise thanks to their fresh ideas and a polished, yet pretty unusual sound. They were quickly dubbed "a revelation of Polish dubstep / drum'n'bass" and "Polish Modstep". This has been confirmed by numerous prizes and awards the band has received in less than a year from their stage début. The most important ones are the winner of the Young Polish Reggae Bands Contest at Ostroda Reggae Festival 2012, "T-Mobile Zrob Głosniej!", the finalist of “SKODA Auto Muzyka” and "V Ogólnopolski Festiwal Muzyki Alternatywnej Dobremiastock”. Bubble Chamber performer at the biggest Polish festivals and represented Poland at the Westerpop Festival 2012 in Delft, the Netherlands.
At the moment the band performs in Poland and primarily focuses on the live recording of their second album, planned for 2013, during a show in London organized with Soundflower Studio, as a part of the ORF 2012 Award. The new album will enrich live electronica with guest appearances by Polish and British vocalists.
