Another, 13th edition of Ostróda Reggae Festival has already passed into history. It's time for conclusions and careful reading opinions of the participants.

The new location of the event in the Red Military Base definitely proved to be a good spot and we thank the Military Property Agency for renting it to us. We used efficiently all the possibilities of this unique area, which completely changed for the festival’s period and became a "reggae city", ruled by a smile, kindness, good fun and good music...

We gave you previously unknown multitude of activities on many stages and you effectively used it. The music played at the festival almost 24 hours a day for three days and there were still many people interested in chillout zone, meetings, films and workshops. It was a beautiful time, there is probably no doubt about it. The atmosphere put us all high in the clouds. The lineup was helpful in this – we rate the musical level very highly this year and your comments seem to confirm this. All headliners proved their status, with memorable shows from Dub Pistols, Luciano, U-Roy, Busy Signal, Groundation, Dubtonic Kru or Don Carlos. Also previously unknown bands, led by Blue King Brown from Australia, British Gentleman's Dub Club or German Jamaram, provided an unforgettable experience. Luckily we avoided cancellations and other accidents that could always happen. ORF once again demonstrated its unique and colorful profile, fulfilling not only entertainment, but also educational and promotional mission. In our opinion reggae music contains various styles drawing inspiration from the source of Jamaican vibrations. With it you can talk about the development and diversification of this style of music. We have to admit that the audience confirmed their maturity, curiosity and openness to new sounds. Congratulations go to the winners of our contests and we believe that Ostróda’s success will allow them to develop quickly and will bring a lot of interest.

Due to the extending the festival and a move to the new location this year was a production challenge for us. Not everything worked perfectly as expected, with the location of the main entrance to the festival at the top. We are aware of these mistakes. However TOI Camp, security, the stages, catering, stands, toilets gave no reasons to complain and festival production standard was high and professional.

We always try to be hospitable, both for artists and our audience, because this has a crucial impact on your good mood, perception and atmosphere of the event.

We enjoy a flow of thanks from the Artists from all over the world, who performed in Ostróda this year. They all were happy to visit ORF and rate the festival very high. It is very important to us, because They spread good opinions in the world. We also want to thank Them all for so many touching moments during their shows!

But this is You, our audience, who give this festival its vibe. Without You there would not be this great atmosphere, which we as organizers can only be proud of.

We have not registered any serious violations of the law or even interfering with peaceful and pleasant co-existence at the festival. When lost wallets, often filled with cash, returned to their owners thanks to the festival security and the stage announcements - we're happy. Anyone who was at the festival probably will not resist the impression that the reggae words "love", "peace" and "respect" were really in practical use in Ostróda. You are wonderful, thank you all for your support and participation!

We thank all the sponsors of the festival, Ostróda authorities and media partners, led by TVP 2, Onet and the Polish National Radio Czwórka, who made us able to reach a wider audience and expand the number of participants.

This year the festival enjoyed more people than last year, and this makes us very happy. Unfortunately with the level of grants we were able to receive, we still did not have a sufficient income to cover high costs of the festival in its current shape.

Therefore we have to find answers to some crucial questions and in spite of this year's very successful, if not the best edition, our future does not seem to be clear.

However we do believe you keep your fingers crossed for us and you want to return here with even more friends with a positive attitude. Perhaps we don’t have to prove anything anymore.

Perhaps during these three magic days we all felt that "this is the time, this is your place, your heart beats here."
