 Once they conquered Ostróda’s young bands contest but already celebrated their 10 years on stage. Tabu made their success with 3 albums and hundreds of shows. You can’t tell they are tabu in the Polish scene anymore.
Tabu beginnings are in Wodzisław Śląski in 2003 but their debut album "Jednosłowo" was released in 2006. 2009 saw their highly acclaimed follow-up "Salut". Winning a title of ‘reggae band of the year’ by readers of major Polish reggae magazine ‘Free Colours’ is not a small achievement, as well as the first prize in the Polish Young Reggae Bands Contest at Ostróda Reggae Festival.
Their reggae/ska is really uplifting, enriched with dynamic horns and charisma of Rafał Karwot – the lead singer. Another great success of the band was "Endorfina" album, where the band introduced some Balkan elements to their sound first time, „Jak dobrze cię widzieć” was a 2012 hit for many fans. Songs like „Marzenia” featuring Cheeba & Grizzulah of Eastwest Rockers, „Nie chcę umierać” or „Naga prawda” confirm their great potential to write uplifting songs telling some life truths in a direct way.
In October 2013 they celebrated 10th anniversary at a special local show. They are heavily touring all around – if not enough, the band members still organize their local reggae festival „The Hottest Place on Earth” and run a local club.
